Burgundy, blush, and navy are three of the most popular colors in wedding design right now. It’s no surprise. The three colors can be used beautifully on their own, with other combinations, or like in Saturday’s wedding–together.
This palette can be interpreted several ways depending on the season. Peonies, tulips, and ranunculus work well for spring into summer. Dahlias, celosia, and sedum transition summer into fall. And then there are flowers available in this palette year round like roses, lilies, carnations, and protea, to name a few.
Dahlias and sedum were the burgundy stars on Saturday, accompanied by kangaroo paw blooms and mahogany spendor hibiscus foliage. Blush was brought into the palette with spray roses, and white wax flower brightened the look. Navy berries and thistle tied into the menswear color and seeded eucalyptus added the texture we expect in a fall design.
The ceremony was held at St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt.
What is your take on this palette? What is your favorite element of this design? Are you a fan of burgundy flowers in the fall or year round?
Congratulations to Kendra and Doug! Best wishes to both of you!
