Tis the Season to be Married
Classic with Color

I go to a lot of weddings.  Of course there are the weddings that I am working on with couples, but weddings of friends and family, too.  My husband has a huge family and there were six weddings in his family alone last year.  This was the first time I was asked to flower an event for his family, though, and it was great!

The bride wanted color and these enormous purple hydrangeas did not disappoint!

The bridesmaid bouquets complimented the bride with more purple, red, and white.

Corsages

Mini carnations, hypericum berries, and wax flower are classic choices for corsages and boutonnieres.

Reception at Old Post Office Place

The Old Post Office Place is a popular place for a reception for the classic style, yet simplicity that works for almost every event.

Having a small touch of decor in the entry sets a tone for guests.  The lanterns provided a warm glow in the evening.

Head Table

We have decorated for many receptions at the Old Post Office Place but each event is different.  This was the first time we have added anything to the window sills.  It may have been our favorite detail!

LED pillar candles and fresh greenery were the perfect touch and looked especially great in the evening.

Table Arrangement

Table arrangements echoed the look of the bouquets with purple hydrangeas and lisianthus, red roses and hypericum berries, white wax flower, and greenery.  Classic flowers in bold colors bring interest to an event.

The bride and her family made picture frames and candles for many of the table arrangements.  We added fresh greenery to their decorations.  We are happy to add to the couple’s own creations.
