This past Saturday was my first wedding of 2020. I could tell this was going to be an amazing party with a band and incredible food stations. While I don’t have details about the party, I can share the beautiful decor.
The first time I met Annie and Matthew I could tell right away that they were an artistic couple. Annie had a vision of jewel tones and greenery. Her bridesmaids wore contrasting but complimentary jewel toned dresses so we used some of those tones–burgundy, emerald, and navy–in the bouquets with some lighter touches for contrast.
For the ceremony and reception though, we filled the space with greenery and candles.
I used a mix of greenery–spruce and magnolia for a seasonal touch along with glossy ruscus and blue-green eucalyptus for contrast.
The reception featured vintage gold containers with more greenery and candles. I am sure the candlelight against the metallic gold was beautiful in the evening.
This is the first of many weddings for 2020 at City View. It is a beautiful space and I am excited to be spending time here this year.
Thank you Annie and Matthew for entrusting me on your day. I wish you both the best of luck!
