Mauve is back! Those of you who remember the mauve of the ’80s may be asking why but this is mauve in a new way. The warm, rosy tone mixes beautifully with fall colors and gives a more cozy feel from the blush tones we see in spring and fall.
We played off the mauve and rust tones of the bridesmaid dresses from Morgan and Andrew’s wedding, adding in burgundy, golden yellow, and peach colors with metallic gold and rose gold accents. The finished product was wonderful.
The reception was held at City View at Sterling Square.
One of my favorite pieces was the escort card display.
We created four coordinating centerpiece designs–a tall centerpiece on a gold stand, a low centerpiece, a grouping of bud vases, and a candlescape. The mauve napkins and gold chargers helped tie everything together.
The photo backdrop turned out perfectly, too.
A cocktail hour was held on the second floor at City View. We created centerpieces for the couple’s rehearsal dinner, held at 20 West, and moved them to City View on the morning of the wedding. The look is slightly different with lighter blush and white tones and less gold and burgundy but still coordinates with the overall design of the wedding.
I keep saying it but I really love the color palettes of my recent weddings! This wedding had so many special touches that it is difficult to choose a favorite but if you have favorite(s), let me know in the comments.
Congrats to Morgan and Andrew! I wish you both the best!
