What are your thoughts on purple? Personally, I love it. I hadn’t worked with it much in the past few years so I was excited to meet Laurel and hear her dreams for a purple and white wedding with silver accents.
Beyond the color scheme, this wedding had a lot of personality. This Kentucky couple shares a love of horses and their theme was played out through details such as horseshoes placed around the reception venue and table numbers printed on cards that looked like jockey jerseys. And the cakes! We will get to the cakes…
The ceremony was held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Henderson.
The reception was held at The Bauerhaus in Evansville.
We chose to include four different centerpiece designs.
The first was a traditional floral centerpiece in a silver mercury glass container. We kept with her palette of purple and white with silver accents for the centerpiece and purple was also used as the napkin and chair tieback color. And can you see those cute table numbers?! (I can’t take credit for those!)
Centerpiece #2 included floating candles and silver mercury glass votive candles with flowers and foliage tucked between.
The third centerpiece included a simple bud vase with votive candles, set on a silver charger plate.
The final centerpiece was created by Bauerhaus Pastry Six cakes were placed around the venue and each told a story, with a printed script from the couple also included. It was a great, personal touch.
The cakes above and below were my favorites.
I love when couples bring their own unique personalities into an event.
What are your favorite details from this wedding? The color palette? The equestrian touches? The cakes?
Congratulations Laurel and Andre! I wish you both the best of luck!
