Blush has been trending in wedding design for several years. It is often paired with white, pink, or for contrast, burgundy. I have noticed a shift to warmer pairings more recently and was happy to mix the blush tones with peaches and corals for this wedding at City View. Carrie and Charles' original April wedding design was centered around coral peonies and mixed
A beautiful church and timeless, white flowers is the perfect match. That was the combination for Kendall and Aaron's wedding ceremony at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Kendall's goal was to fill the church with flowers and candles. We started outside. We draped the railings with garlands, added wreaths, and urns filled with flowers. The softness of the
August is one of the prime months for flowers. EVERYTHING is blooming in a riot of color. When Megan said she wanted colorful flowers for her early August wedding to contrast against light blue dresses, I was ready. We picked up the light blue of the bridesmaid dresses with the periwinkle delphinium and added just about every color except red to set it
Saturday was my final wedding of the 2019 season and a great way to finish. I usually limit myself to events within a one hour radius of Evansville but I was willing to venture a little further to see this beautiful venue in Crofton, Kentucky. Burdoc Farms is a barn style venue with a beautiful wall of windows overlooking a lake and the Kentucky countryside. The
I love succulents. They have been trending for several years and I hope the trend doesn't end. I love the texture they add and many varieties available. It's wedding season! Spring and fall are both busy times for weddings but fall is definitely the winner! Wedding vendors have full schedules in September, October, and November. Why fall? It's a favorite season for many. The weather is pleasant and the colors are beautiful. If you are wanting an outdoor ceremony or reception, it is really the perfect time.
Burgundy, blush, and navy are three of the most popular colors in wedding design right now. It's no surprise. The three colors can be used beautifully on their own, with other combinations, or like in Saturday's wedding--together. This palette can be interpreted several ways depending on the season. Peonies, tulips, and ranunculus work well for spring into summer.
Neutral colors are always a good choice for a wedding, especially with a green backdrop from an outdoor ceremony and reception. I am excited to share these beautiful photos from Bret and Brandie Photography from Ben and Bailey's wedding this past June. If you are looking for a photographer with a light and airy style, I definitely recommend Bret and Brandie!
This styled shoot was so much fun! Beautiful ladies in beautiful dresses with adorable dogs... What else could you want? Better yet, all the dogs were available for adoption from the Warrick Humane Society. They were super sweet and hopefully are in a forever home now! The shoot was held at House of White Bridal in Newburgh, Indiana. Their space is beautiful inside
