What's New? February 2022

January isn’t commonly a big month for florists. We did have one wedding this month, started our winter subscriptions, and delivered joy around the Evansville area. Behind the scenes, though… There is a lot going on!

First, a recap… Kari Lynn and Lucas were able to celebrate their postponed wedding this January at City View! They were a great couple to work with and remained flexible when Covid kept changing their plans. Best wishes to the two of them!

Winter subscriptions have begun. If you missed out and still want in, we can make that happen. Spring subscriptions will start in April.

Mainly, we have been getting ready to open the shop. Ashley and I went to market in Atlanta. Market is like a gigantic mall of wholesale showrooms. It happens twice a year and we had a chance to pick out all kinds of things for the shop. I have been sharing these things on our Instagram and Facebook stories as they arrive. Hop over there to see some of what is on its way.

The shop is still under construction, as you can see. Our timeline has shifted back some but we hope to be in the space by the end of the month. Once we get in, we have to paint and of course set everything up. We are now looking at a mid-March opening. Just in time for daffodils!

We have fun merchandise on the way, all botanical themed. Candles, notebooks, cups, jewelry, planters, trellises, vases, puzzles, books… Of course there will be flowers and plants, too. What are you looking forward to seeing? Let us know in the comments!
